Visionary Peace by Dom Root

These roots about as

black as my genes

And in my back pocket

I carry my dreams,

Cause at any moment

I can see what i think….

Elevate beyond

Dark stages, into

Spaces unique,

A son of the most high,

define him as Dominique…

When I speak…

Even the birds stop and listen

Message so professive

Yet still so close to street…

My mornings be r & b…

Like Genuine Pony,

Then we sit back and

Inhale the breeze,

underneath the clouds

We release,

our doubts,

Without anything

To come in between,

Or underneath

Tested faith,

I still believe…

These roots about as

black as my genes

And in my back pocket

I carry my dreams,

Cause at any moment

I can see what i think….

And there was a time

I JUST wanted to speak,

where i wanted to reach

More than the percentage

Of us who like to read

A good life,

Is filled with teaching and breading

And the emotions that love brings,

The way

  two people create harmony

minds moving in sequence

or in tandem,

or at random. …

My nights be Jazz

with some Neo-Soul,

Keep the Incense real intimate,

After a long stroll.

I remove these layers,

And ask for his favor,

Healing and prosperity

to complete my prayers.

There aint a day,

That go by

That i don’t listen

To Rap, and that time less

Kind of Hip Hop, just

To take it back,

Im proud to be black…

These roots about as

black as my genes

And in my back pocket

I carry these things ,

Cause at any moment

I can see what I dream….

Visionary

Peace
