The Woman That I Rejected
I am the woman that I rejected
because she wasn’t pretty enough to keep attention
i mean what is beauty if its not of convention
She is too wild, too strong, too her self to ever be me
I’d rather be the woman on my screens with long weaves
and diamond rings you know the girl that all the guys want.
So i poisoned my mind and rejected my heart
and filled my life with promises of false art
lost from the start and going nowhere fast
Past trash recycled into bling I rejected who I was
and tried to make that my thing
but she waited for me.
Admired me from afar as I took turns loving and hating myself
My rejected queen held no animosity
in fact she smiled and said
I am we and you is me so why not be who we both want to see
and say fuck the world and the eyes of society.
My do you inspire me
lost in the fire she turned and whispered
glow the fuck up show the fuck out
and let them never force you to speak ill from your mouth.
You are of a Divine legacy
and we been waiting for you to stop rejecting
and start stepping into your divine destiny.
I am the woman that I rejected and she is me
Crowned. Royal and Respected.
